Special Guests at UK PonyCon 2024
We’re pleased to share that AJ Bridel and Ashleigh Ball will be joining us in-person as special guests at UK PonyCon 2024.
AJ Bridel
AJ Bridel is a true multi-hyphenate performer, known for work on stage, screen and throughout animated series. First discovered by Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber on his search for Dorothy (runner-up), AJ quickly found her footing one stage, with notable credits including; Sherrie Christian, Rock of Ages (More Entertainment; Dora Nomination), Anne Shirley in Anne of Green Gables (Charlottetown Festival), Leading many seasons of the Ross Petty Pantomime, and for her starring turn in Mirvish Production's Kinky Boots. On screen, AJ's appeared on series including Odd Squad (PBS), Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), Accused (Fox), and in the booth AJ is most known for her starring role of Pipp Petals on My Little Pony, and additionally recurs on series including Caillou, Glowbies, Blues Clues and more.
At UK PonyCon 2024, AJ will join us in-person and take part in panels and host autograph signing sessions on both Saturday and Sunday. AJ will also attend the Afternoon Tea on Saturday afternoon, which is included in the Gold Sponsor ticket and will be available to buy separately for all others.
Autograph signing sessions with AJ will take place on both days of the event, and these will be published in the events schedule. The fee is £15 per autograph, £15 per photograph, and £20 for an autograph + photograph combo. AJ will also record a voice memo of up to 30 seconds on your device for a price of AJ’s discretion (voice only, no video). These can only be purchased during the signing session, not in advance. Cash and card payments will be accepted. Silver and Gold Sponsor tickets include vouchers for autograph and photographs, which can be found in the goody bags given on registration.
Ashleigh Ball
Ashleigh Ball started her voice career in 2005 playing Oopsy Bear in the animated feature Care Bears: Oopsy Does It! And reprising that role in the CBS Saturday-morning series Care Bears: Adventures in Care-a-Lot.
Since then, Ashleigh has added over 100 credits to her resume including Blythe in Littlest Pet Shop, Skya in Dinotrux, Jet in Ready Jet Go! Jay in Beat Bugs, Mira in The Hollow and fan favourites, Applejack and Rainbow Dash in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Ashleigh is the lead vocalist and flute player in the Vancouver-based JUNO nominated indie pop band Hey Ocean! and she recently released her new EP, Reelin.

Restrictions
We expect the signing sessions with our special guests to be very popular. Our priority is to allow as many people at the convention as possible to meet with our special guests. We may limit the number of autographs and photographs per person per special guest, or limit the amount of time each person spends with a special guest.
Where we suspect autographs or photographs are being obtained for reasons other than personal use, we may limit that person to 2 autographs and 1 photograph and 1 voice memo per special guest. Obtaining an autograph for one friend is permitted, however anyone obtaining many autographs for distribution or resale takes valuable time with special guests away from other attendees present at the convention. We will consider the total number of items, the number of duplicate or similar items, the number of different names to address the autographs to or the lack of names. This policy will be applied at the discretion of our volunteers supervising the autographs area.
